John Muir Trail 2019

I’m a 40-something software engineer living in Portland, Maine. I have two teenage sons, and partner that works in the healthcare industry. I spend weekends and vacations trail running, hiking and camping in the mountains. The White Mountains National Forest in New Hampshire is my favorite place on Earth. I run a few ultras per year and completed the Vermont 100 in 2018. I recently section-hiked the John Muir Trail with a few friends over three years which culminated in a sunrise hike of the 14,505′ Mount Whitney. I dream of dirt-bagging around the country, running all of the trails, and eventually settling down in a homestead surrounded by gardens and trails.
