SUMMARY
The goal for the day was to get Mount Madison for my December grid, but after a mile of Valley Way I realized that I left my headlamp at home. I turned around and hit up Mount Pemigewasset in Franconia Notch. A much shorter hike and a summit on the 52 With A View list.

Mount Pemigewasset is a short and easy hike with a rewarding view of Mount Flume and Mount Liberty to the east and Mount Moosilauke to the southwest. This hike began and ended at the Flume visitor center parking lot. After taking the tunnel under I-93 it was a moderate hike to the summit. I hiked the same way to return to my car.
